Vapor Power 2

Paddle Shape Guide: Hurache-X, Vapor, Pegasus & Ultré

Description

The soft paddle that still bites.

The Jelly Bean is back - and this time the grit lasts.

This is not a power paddle, and we're not going to pretend it is. The Jelly Bean 2 runs a softer, denser foam that gives you real dwell on the ball: longer contact, more feel, more control at the kitchen line. Dekel Barr called it "sneaky power," which is about right. You won't overpower anyone off the bounce, but you'll place the ball where you want it and find pace when you need it.

If you loved the Alpha Pro Powers, or you've always played a softer paddle and never found one that held up, this is the one. It's a completely different animal from the Power 2 - that paddle hits; this paddle plays.

Paired with our durable HexGrit surface, so the spin you buy is the spin you keep. UPA-A approved.

Not for you if: you want raw put-away power off the serve or a paddle that does the work for you.

Read if you’re a tech, spins, and advanced intermediate middle aged player

I’ve been playing with a knockoff Joola Agassi V for the last 6 months. Over the course of the last 5 years, I own over 20 paddles. I wanted to try 11SIX24 just because so many people have been telling me to try foam. I tried Six Zero Coral and Honolulu J6CR and thought they were to powerful and had a muted feel. So, I did a bunch of research and came to the realization that I am not the norm of pickleballers. I can generate my own pace but love to shape the ball and dink for days. So, I chose the Jelly Bean 2 after watching a bunch of paddle reviewers shame it as not for the masses. I am not the masses! I’ve got about 5 hours on the paddle and I LOVE it! It plays like my Agassi; touch, power, just slightly softer feel. I think as the paddle continues to break in, I will find ways to utilize the grittier surface, shaping the ball with more spin as I move from eastern to semi-western grip. I’m a 4.5 pickleballer. Can you tell I’m a tennis player too? :) Oh, I love the purple color with my pink grip and edge guard tape. 🤌🏽

Perfect all court paddle!

After much research, decided on the Jelly Bean 2 to replace my trusty Gearbox. It has provided me the much needed control that I was missing and allows me to generate appropriate power from all parts of the court. The grit is noticeable and the spin it generates is top tier. Perfect paddle for intermediate players looking to up their game. Build quality and feel is top notch. Does feel a bit more dense and takes some time to get used to as a different feel from my elongated Gearbox. The hybrid shape offers a good sweet spot and is much more forgiving. Very happy with it so far!

I love the control and the dwell

I love the control and the dwell, and most of all, the spin. You'll be surprised with the deceptive power after breaking.

Getting Jelly with it!!

Since dailing in the Power 2 with Hexgrit, I figured what not try the toned down version and I am very glad I did!
The JB2 allows me to be so lazy on my 3rds and I can stop being so worried about my resets and dinks! So much fun again with all the spin I can put on every shot!

Love this all court paddle

Love the fresh grit of a new paddle.
The swing weight is less than my Vapor All Court and quicker at the net.
I welcome the slightly extra pop and power along with Hexgrit.
It keeps the ball lower on drive/drips.
It's foam core feels better than most foam paddles in my opinion due to my aged joints and tendons.

I let another senior hit with it and he wants to trade in the Chorus Shapeshifter I sold him a month ago LOL!

Looking forward to drives and overheads during our upcoming winter league!

Excellent paddle for spins.

The Vapor Jelly Bean 2 is exceptionally light and generates more spin than any paddle I’ve used before. Its combination of control, responsiveness, and spin potential makes it stand out from the competition. For players who want to maximize spin on their serves and add more precision to their game, this is by far the best paddle I’ve experienced.

Love the paddle

Love the paddle. Happy about the grippiness so I am able to spin the ball. It seems to absorb the impact of the ball so as to provide better touch on shots

I like the Jelly Bean 2

I like the Jelly Bean 2. It is working well for my level of play. I'm seeing better control when returning serves and more spin while serving. Disappointed that it is "made in China".

The perfect control paddle for people with naturally strong arms strength.

Generally upon unboxing the paddle it really feels more premium than existing expensive pickleball brands. The texture of the paddle is really good and you can really feel the difference when playing, especially if you've experienced owning an entry-level paddle. The Jellybean 2 is really a paddle for control and suits people with naturally strong power from their forearms.
