The Jelly Bean is back - and this time the grit lasts.
This is not a power paddle, and we're not going to pretend it is. The Jelly Bean 2 runs a softer, denser foam that gives you real dwell on the ball: longer contact, more feel, more control at the kitchen line. Dekel Barr called it "sneaky power," which is about right. You won't overpower anyone off the bounce, but you'll place the ball where you want it and find pace when you need it.
If you loved the Alpha Pro Powers, or you've always played a softer paddle and never found one that held up, this is the one. It's a completely different animal from the Power 2 - that paddle hits; this paddle plays.
