What Independent Reviewers Say About the Power 2
8 Independent Reviewers. One Verdict.
The Power 2 has been tested by Matt's Pickleball (440+ paddles reviewed), Pickleball Effect, The Kitchen, Johnkew Pickleball, Pickleball Globe, PickleTip, MyPickleBlog, and The Dink. Across the board: elite spin at 2,335 RPM, best-in-test grit retention at 98%, and surface durability that lasts twice as long as the leading competitor. All at $209.
Why Players Choose the Power 2
2,335 RPM Spin That Lasts
HexGrit is our patent-pending surface technology. In independent testing, the Power 2 recorded 2,335 RPM (4th highest ever) with just 8.9% spin degradation after extended play. Competitors lost spin at nearly double that rate (17.9%). The Dink reported "virtually no measurable spin degradation after 100+ games."
Gen 4 Core: Power That Responds
The Gen 4 floating core responds to your intent. Load up on a drive and feel the pop. Ease into a reset and get a soft, predictable touch. Pickleball Effect scored the Power 2 at 94% power and 95% pop. The Kitchen called it "stiff, poppy" and rated it 8-8.5 out of 10.
$209 vs $289+: Built Right, Priced Right
Same carbon fiber face, Gen 4 core, and proprietary surface tech that brands charge $289+ for. Pickleball Globe called the Power 2 "one of the best value paddles available." MyPickleBlog rated it 9/10 and named it a "contender for Paddle of 2026." That's not a sale price. That's what honest pricing looks like.

QUESTIONS
Power 2 FAQ
What skill level is the Power 2 designed for?
Intermediate to advanced players (3.5+ skill level) who want power and spin. The Power 2 is a strong fit for competitive players, former tennis or racquet sport athletes, and anyone who has outgrown beginner paddles. Beginners can use it, but our Jelly Bean or All-Court lines are more forgiving for players still developing consistency.
Which Power 2 shape should I pick: Hurache-X, Vapor, or Pegasus?
Hurache-X (elongated): Best for power players and ex-tennis athletes. Extended reach and extra leverage on drives.
Vapor (hybrid): The most popular shape. Balanced sweet spot and reach for all-around play.
Pegasus (wide body): Best for control and touch players. Maximum sweet spot for consistent contact.
Is the Power 2 tournament approved?
Yes. The Power 2 is UPA-A approved, which is the stricter pro-tour standard. UPA-A tests paddles broken-in, not fresh out of the box. If you're playing sanctioned tournaments, leagues, or competitive events, this paddle is cleared for play.
How does the Power 2 compare to Selkirk paddles?
The Power 2 delivers comparable or superior spin performance at $209 vs $289+ for Selkirk models (28-38% less). In independent testing, the Power 2 recorded 2,335 RPM spin with just 8.9% degradation, while the leading competitor lost spin at 17.9%. Multiple reviewers including Pickleball Globe and Matt's Pickleball have called the Power 2 one of the best values in competitive paddles.
How long does the HexGrit face texture last?
In independent testing, the Power 2 retained 98% of its original grit, which was the best result in the test group. The Dink reported "virtually no measurable spin degradation after 100+ games." The 8.9% spin loss rate is roughly half that of the leading competitor at 17.9%.
What are the Power 2 specs and weight?
Core: Gen 4 Full Foam Floating Core
Face: Carbon fiber with HexGrit surface
Weight: 8.0-8.3 oz
Thickness: 16mm
Length: 15.8-16.5" (varies by shape)
Grip: Comfort cushion grip

Can I try the Power 2 before committing?

Once I started the game, It felt that was designed for me and my style of play. I love it!!!
J
Good power. Excellent sweet spot and spin.

I love the extra grit with the resistance on the face of the paddle. Wide and big sweet spot really helps control and power. I was able to add a second wrap for the grip to give it a wider feel (black grip is over top of the white grip that came original with the paddle)

I ran both the Pegasus Power and the Alpha Pro Power. The latter was a small step up but not really worth the upgrade.
Waited for a few reviews on this release and when they came roaring in, I jumped.
The foam core is excellent. Pop is amazing. The spin, however, is elite. Most spin I’ve ever had in my hands. It’s honestly outstanding.
Even while dinking, you can get that little bit of extra that was just never available before from any paddle.
While a great drive up the middle that dips in feels great, it’s the backhand dinks and slices that bring that spin to life with low effort.
I’m set up with a Hesacore medium and one wrap with 3 grams each at 8 and 4 o’clock.
Weight is 9.17 ounces.
Super fast at the net still.

I’ve been loyal to my former paddle for 9 years, so to say I was reluctant to change is an understatement. 11six24 offered a nice military discount (thank you!) which helped me decide to try it. The Pegasus power 2 has a stiff feel with excellent control and power. The grit is fantastic and makes drilling fun! This is one of those tools that allow you to do things that you didn’t think was possible! My wife now wants to try a hybrid and I’ll probably be getting a backup. Thanks again for offering a first responder and military discount, it’s a very nice and appreciated gesture!😄

The paddle overall is great, however, one side of my paddle is significantly less textured than the other by feel. Playing with the paddle, it feels really well balanced with the right amount of pop and power where dinks, resets, and baseline hits do what you want, but because one face of the paddle doesn't seem to be as rough, it kind of takes away from the selling point of the hexgrit texture.

The Pegasus Power 2 has helped my game on so many levels. This paddle is all sweet spot and is a rest machine. Adding weight at the 3&9 turned this in to a better Boomstick. The HexGrit doesn’t show any signs of wear and has added another dimension to my game.

Great combo of power, pop and control…with great spin with long lasting grit. Replaced my Boomstik and Loco as my main paddle. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the top edge guard isn’t even from front to back (not sure if this will result in edge guard separation).
E
This is the best paddle I have had so far. The grip, the spin, the wide and the weight is perfect for me. I have it to some of my pb friends and they are all asking me about the price and the name of the company and how is the shipping etc etc.

I love My Pegasus Power 2. The acclimation period was quick and I feel confident the paddle will last me a long time!

Buying over and over again

Love the paddle!
I waited a couple of weeks before entering a review. We always love our new paddles. Since I'm not a former tennis player and play with a lot of spin how can I describe what I like about? There are fewer drives and resets that just get away. I chalk that up to grit. I hope the paddles stays like this!

I used my new paddle for the first time today and need to get used to the power. I have always used a control paddle so I do notice the difference. I'm very happy with it and look forward to using it consistently (5 times a week). I think the Pegasus will elevate my game.
