Good power. Was hoping for a little more control and feel. A bit “poopy” on soft shots. Liking it and still getting used to it.
First, I’m a 4.5/5/0 player. As much as I want to use my CRBN True Foam and my Jolla Perseus 4 because of all the hype on these paddles. Bottom line is, the 11six24 Vapor Power is the paddle that I play best with. My wife and my partners always question me when I bring any other paddle than the Vapor Power. The Vapor Power has the biggest sweet spot of all these paddles. Control is not an issue. Bottom line, Vapor Power is $160 vs the others both are $280. Don’t be like me and buy other paddles, just because of the name. 11six24 also has a year warranty. Your going to see more and more of these paddles on the courts.
Paddle has a lot of pop and power, but also great for the soft game
I received my first Vapor Power and was immediately impressed with how well it performed at the kitchen. Resets and the soft game felt much more controlled compared to other paddles I’ve used. I added just 1/4 gram of weight at the buttcap along with 2 overgrips, and the result was a paddle that felt absolutely perfect in my hand.
That said, I have to be a bit critical. I ordered a second one with the intention of rotating between the two to extend their lifespan. However, after applying the same setup (2 overgrips and 1/4 gram at the buttcap), I found a 2-gram difference in weight between the two paddles. While it might not sound like much on paper, I can definitely feel it in play. The lighter one is ideal for me, but the weight discrepancy makes it difficult to use them interchangeably.
I believe 11Six24 should tighten quality control on paddle weight, especially for players who rely on consistency across their gear.
I love the paddle. Has great power and control. I love the pop that it makes when you hit the ball.
