Who it's for

Players who put touch, placement and a softer response ahead of maximum pop.

Soft, connected contact with lower pop for dinks, drops and resets. Swing through the ball when you want to add pace.

The tradeoff

If more attacking pace and a livelier response come first, compare the matching Power 2.

Hurache-X Power 2

Paddle Shape Guide: Hurache-X, Vapor, Pegasus & Ultré

Description

The soft paddle that still bites.

The Jelly Bean is back - and this time the grit lasts.

This is not a power paddle, and we're not going to pretend it is. The Jelly Bean 2 runs a softer, denser foam that gives you real dwell on the ball: longer contact, more feel, more control at the kitchen line. Dekel Barr called it "sneaky power," which is about right. You won't overpower anyone off the bounce, but you'll place the ball where you want it and find pace when you need it.

If you loved the Alpha Pro Powers, or you've always played a softer paddle and never found one that held up, this is the one. It's a completely different animal from the Power 2 - that paddle hits; this paddle plays.

Paired with our durable HexGrit surface, so the spin you buy is the spin you keep. UPA-A approved.

Not for you if: you want raw put-away power off the serve or a paddle that does the work for you.

Feel the ball. Place the shot.

HexGrit surface

Texture, with simple care.

HexGrit pairs with a CFC triple-layer face of Toray T700 carbon fiber and fiberglass. Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth after play. Paddle erasers are not recommended because particles can clog the surface.

Jealous husband.
Bought this for my wife

Bought this for my wife... but it feels even more grittier than my J6CR with crystal blue. It felt softer, cozier, more control. Love it!!!!

SUPERB!!!!

i also have the ultre and pegasus jelly bean 2, but hurache gives me the extra reach especially on over heads and is the lightest model of all. The swing weight is superb, its too light that you will definitely dominate the kitchen. The color is unique which is noticeably on court. I could pocket the balls accurately with its toned down pop but still get's the ball spinning crazy. Hexgrit is the GOAT.

What can I say? The feel and feedback this paddle gives you due to the added dwell is such a blessing when you understand it and embrace it. The added control with the spin is top tier and adds layers of confidence when you combine it with the feel and dwell to just go for whatever you want, knowing the ball will most likely stay in. Easy paddle to confidently make my main for singles or doubles.

So far so good! Love the touch of my hurache

So far so good! Love the touch of my hurache. Power is way enough imo. The control at the kitchen and in the transition zone is really above average. Grit is huge and like nothing I’ve experienced before.

Great paddle!

Switch from the Vapor Power 2 to this and it feels much better to me. Not overly poppy with a pretty good thunk. Easy to play with.

Perfect

Legitimately the greatest paddle I’ve every played with I’ve used every single high end paddle from Selkirk, to Joola, to Friday and 6.0 and nothing come close to this other than maybe the Omni I played one game with it and almost bought an exact copy of it

Great spin

Great spin, great all-court feel. Compared to the Alpha Pro Power, the pop is low but can shape your shots better due to the hexgrit. This is excellent for those who don't prefer trampoline-like paddles.

First time today to hit a ball in a game with the new Jellybean 2

First time today to hit a ball in a game with the new Jellybean 2. Was a little disappointed. Great spin, large sweet spot and looks great. But it is too poppy. Maybe it will have a breakin that will give more dwell time and feel less poppy.

For my game this paddle is perfect

For my game this paddle is perfect. Old tennis player so it allows me to take full swings without sending the ball out. Resets and dinks require a bit of effort but that works perfect for me. With power paddles I had a hard time converting resets and dinks into quality low shots. So far grit is holding up and am able to hit quality drips.
