I started playing at the beginning of this year and played with a couple different cheaper paddles. I got the hurrache-x paddle a few weeks ago and I immediately noticed a difference. I have a tennis background so I knew I could handle the power for the most part. I love how it feels when the ball makes contact and the look and style is also sick!
This is the best paddle for the price I have ever owned. I highly recommend the paddle for all levels.
I like this paddle- control, power but not too much pop. Enough for hands battle but my ball stay in , unlike my paddletek. Serves have a good kick and plenty of spin. Drops/ drips/ shape come pretty easy. Really a very good all court paddle with more power than most- very similar to j2k+ which is a compliment.
Have always played Selkirk but found the Horace X Power to be more to my liking. Power is good and similar to the Selkirk. The pop and control I get at the net and dinking. A great paddle.
I love my Hurache power paddle! I was a little worried about changing paddles because I've had success with my old Hurache Control+, and some reviewers stated that it may take a few games to get used to the additional pop of the power paddle- but that hasn't been the case with me at all. My soft game seems to have improved with this paddle. Right out of the box I was dinking and dropping with no issues. The best thing about the paddle is that it feels lighter, and helps me stay in control during volleys. I feel more confident defending speed ups, and can put away pop ups with ease. I like the elongated handle, as well. I'm still working on my two handed back hand, and the longer handle really helps. I just really, really love this paddle. The only negative is that when I have a bad game, I can't blame my paddle any longer.
