After playing with the same entry-level paddle for the past year and a half, I figured I was doing just fine. It got the job done, and I wasn’t eager to spend a small fortune on a new one. But during a recent game, one of my regular co-players—someone I really respect and who plays at a high level—told me it might be time for an upgrade.

I was skeptical. I told him I wasn’t looking to spend \$250 on a new paddle. He nodded and said, “If I were buying one today, this is the paddle I’d get.” That got my attention.

So my wife and I decided to give it a shot—we each picked one up. And I have to admit, the difference is noticeable. The touch, control, and pop off the face of the paddle are all steps above what I was used to. It just feels more responsive and balanced in the hand. We’re both enjoying how it plays, and I can see how it could help level up parts of our game.

If you're like I was—hesitant to upgrade—I’d say this paddle is worth a serious look. You don’t always have to spend top dollar, but sometimes spending a little more gets you a lot more paddle.
